About this tool

This search has been designed to provide an insight of the overall HLA frequencies based on the total of populations submitted to the AFND. Users may find this tool useful to visualise global frequencies by geographic region, country, ethnic origin, or any other classification available.

It is important to highlight that HLA allele frequencies may vary considerably between two populations in a given country, geographic region, etc., thus, this tool should be used only as an initial approach to investigate global frequencies of alleles. The Allele Frequency Search (AFS) included in the homepage's menu provides a more detailed description of the frequencies by population.
